The Empty Tomb

“The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sins control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8: 3-4

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Today we celebrate the day that God gave us Hope. It is the day that He tore the veil so that we may now have direct access to him. Our Lord and Savior.

I don’t know about you but I am eternally grateful for this. I no longer have to wallow in the consequences of my sin. I no longer have to live in shame and guilt. HE has forgiven me. For He died for me on that cross. But He also resurrected for me so that I may have that eternal HOPE.

I have been looking through the book of Romans this morning. And what a blessing that has been. Seeing over and over the blessings that we receive because of what Christ has done for us. Romans 3:22 states “We are made right with God by placing out faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, NO MATTER WHO WE ARE.”

That’s right. No matter who we are. The sinner, the cheat, the guilty, the lonely…we no longer are what we or anyone else says we are. We are children of the most high God! Nothing and no one can change that! We are who GOD says we are. The second half of the verse of Romans 2:29 states this so well…”it is a change of heart produced by God’s Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people. “Friends, today is the day why we were are able to have HOPE on even the darkest of our days. Jesus rose from the tomb on that beautiful Sunday morning. Because of that Jesus is that light at the end of our dark tunnels. He standing there waiting for us, we just need to turn to Him. He will give us the strength to move forward. As we learn in Romans chapter 8 God will cause all things to work together for our good. And if He is for us who can be against us?!

Let us go out today and share the hope that Jesus has given us.

“and that message is the very message about faith that we preach: if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:8b

Lots of love to you all!

In Jesus’ precious name!
