“We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.” Romans 15: 1-2
My honey and I had the awesome opportunity to share a meal with some new friends that we met at church. Not knowing this couple well Fred and I were both a little nervous about going. Would we get along? Continue reading “Being A Builder”
I think it is awesome that Valentine’s Day starts the season of Lent -Ash Wednesday.
It is a season that celebrates the ultimate act of love one person can have for another… ‘Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.’ John 15:13
The CHOICE Jesus made to suffer and die for you and I…How humbling is that? That the creator of the universe, of all things, loves us, loves YOU so much that He became man, all so He can die a horrendous death so we can have eternity with Him.
All we have to do is come to him, admit that we are sinners (we all are) and ask Him to come into our hearts and in our lives.
If you haven’t given your life to Him, I ask you to take this Lenten season to REALLY look at the evidence for His existence, for the proof of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And with an open heart, ask God to show you that He is real, that Jesus really is God in human form.
He’d love to show you!
“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25
Wow. That’s all I can say right now…Wow. Life can really throw us curve balls can’t it? Ugh! This weekend has seriously been icky. Started out a little early with what all I can call is“1- ‘high school drama’. I didn’t go through that much when when I was in high school, feels kinda crappy that I need to go through it at 47 years of age. 😦 Continue reading “Thanks In The Midst of Trouble”
“Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” Proverbs 4:25-27
I haven’t been feeling well over the last few weeks and the time has made me more aware than I’d like to admit of my shortcomings. In several aspects of my life I’ve gone the opposite direction than I had hoped for. And that right there is part of the problem. I’m hoping for something that I’m not 1-putting the effort into and 2-and most importantly-not bringing them to Jesus first. Continue reading “Great Is His Faithfulness”
