Hi! I’m Tara Hastings. I am a wife to an awesome man who keeps me on my toes-with all his jokes and supports me emotionally and spiritually. A mom to two amazing adult children-both of which I truly could not be more proud of. A daughter to the sweetest little pip of an Irish woman who taught me to think more of others than myself. A sister to two brothers and a sister who mean the world to me and have given me guidance through some of the toughest times of my life. And a friend to some of the most awesome people who have always helped me keep my eyes and heart on God.
I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl who works a regular Monday through Friday job. Although I have known God all my life I didn’t truly “know” God until I gave my life to Him eight years ago. I didn’t see it then but God guided me through all the bumps and bruises of my life straight to HIM so I could learn to leave the old me at the foot of the cross. (See first blog post for more detail)
More than anything I hope that with God’s guidance and blessing, to share my love and passion for Him and His Word-our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In this blog I want to share why I believe finding and being part (active) in a local church is not just a blessing but a necessity. My wish is to display how active God is in the life of every believer…how He uses those of us who are so majorly faulty or no matter how inadequate we may feel, to share His Love, His Word and His Grace to those around us. I pray I am able to show that He loves EVERYONE. Regardless of whether or not they believe in Him…”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
I hope that along this journey that I, along with you, will find a way to embrace His love, grace and mercy. To find our salvation and HOPE in Him. And most of all to bring His love, grace, mercy and the peace we find with HOPE though Him to those who do not yet have a relationship with Him. To show what His salvation truly means.
He IS My Everyday Hope.
Lots of Love,
