A Changed Heart

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” Isaiah 26:3-4

One misperception about disciples of Jesus is that we don’t go through difficult times. That is sad and funny at the same time. Continue reading “A Changed Heart”

Being Thankful

“But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23

I wish I knew more about the Bible. Well, I know that I know more than I realize…but I would love to have a better understanding of it. That’s one of the reasons that I enjoy going to Bible study. It gives me the opportunity to learn from those around me. Continue reading “Being Thankful”

Walking By…

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5: 25-26

It really seems to be the theme for this week…the reminder to walk with God, within His strength and not my own. I’m definitely struggling with this lately. Who? Me?

‘Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.”  Psalm 51: 1-2

Every day I am dumbfounded that God has blessed me the way He has. That He has used me the way He has been and how I hope He will continue to. And I know that it has only been possible through the sacrifice of His Son and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am humbled that He CHOSE to die the death He did for me. ME! Who am I that He would do that? Continue reading “Who? Me?”

Too Far Gone?

‘Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”  He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”’ Daniel 3: 25-25

I’m not much for listening to the radio, so I tend to be a bit slow on learning about new musical artists and such. Even then I almost never remember their name let alone the name of their songs. Continue reading “Too Far Gone?”
