Fighting Lies

Surely the Lord has done great things! Don’t be afraid, my people. Be glad now and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things.” Joel 2:21

I’m currently writing this in a hotel room in upstate New York. I’m working out of a few of my organizations sites this week, giving me an opportunity to meet the directors and to do some training. Although I normally enjoy staying in a hotel once in a while, it’s not quite the same when my hubby isn’t with me. A Light In The Darkness

The Lord is my light and my salvation- so why should I be afraid? the Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” Psalm 27:1

It really seems that life is so much busier than it was in my parents generation. The adults (often both parents) are working long hours while even the kids seem to have no free time. If they aren’t participating in a group in school, they’re in several different sports-leaving them with just enough time to get their school work done. Society seems to think that the busier you are the better your life will be. Unfortunately it often leads to an overwhelming amount of stress, depression, anxiety…is it all really worth it?
