“You know what I long for Lord, you hear my every sigh.” Psalm 38:9
I’m currently struggling with an issue pertaining to what I am hoping to be a Women’s Ministry. It’s made me step back and ask God what His will is. It is so important to me that what I do is aligning with what His plans are, not my own. And that can be difficult to seperate at times. We want something so much, something that is not against what the Word says, so we don’t check in with God to make sure that it’s part of His plan for our lives.
I woke up extra early today, not intentionally, so I decided to be proactive in this situation. I came to God. I was reminded, actually via a Facebook post, that sometimes the best thing to do is ‘Be still’ and know He IS God. I became intentional in my time with him this morning. Listening to praise music to actively worship Him; I opened His Word-my Bible-and read. And I read slowly. Intentionally. That is when the above verse hit me. I’ve read it before…but today it touched me.
You see, He knows what our desires are. He knows that I have been praying for the last few years for Him to use me. “My life is yours Lord, Use me.” He knows that I’m hurt, and frankly, frustrated over my current situation. And He is letting me know that He is in this with me. Scripture after scripture tells us He is with us through all things.
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22
““I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18
“Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28
So I am holding onto more verses of the piece of scripture above . Psalm 38:15; “For I am waiting for you, O Lord, You must answer me, O Lord my God.”
Seek Him my friends…He’s waiting for you to do exactly this.
“God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” (Acts 17:27-28).
Have an awesome day!
In Jesus’ precious name.
