I've been really struggling for the last several months in a few of my personal relationships. I feel like I've gone from a (halfway) decent wife and mom to a complete failure. My house is a constant mess, I really like to order out more than I cook (I hate cooking) and I have to have an internal agrument with myself to get the housework done...and more often than not that tends to fall through.
This scripture is a good reminder for me how completely dense I can be at times. God offering me one thing while I think He's offering me another.Read more… It's like a story I was telling a co-worker yesterday about why I think God has waited this long to allow me to change jobs...I needed to be humbled.
I'm going to keep it brief today and ask you to keep in mind what this weekend is all about. Not barbecues or parties but remembering the sacrifice of those who lost their lives (and continue to do so) for our country (USA). It is all too easy to take for granted the freedoms that we do still enjoy here.
