‘In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.’ Genesis 1:1
It’s been so easy over the last few years to allow time to go by without really concentrating, let alone appreciating, what God has done in my life. One day rolls into the next and the next thing I know its 4 years later with few blog posts on my website.
Between all that happened during Covid and my mom’s declining health, I just couldn’t catch my breath. I had such good intentions on starting the blog and I think I started off relatively well…albeit the quality of my writing can leave something to be desired. I have allowed myself to get so busy after work with different ministries, not actually taking the time for me to do the ministry He called me to in 2017.
I’ve had a heart to share reasons why and how we can have Hope through our faith in God. To show, that no matter what we may go through, God is good and He has a plan for us. To allow us the time and understanding to trust Him and lean into Him, no matter what is going on in our lives.
And yet, here I am 5 years later, embarrassed that I yet again fallen short of the goal. But today is a new day and the world needs Hope like never before. I pray that you will join me in finding that Hope through Scripture. Scriptures that will show us how great our God is. That there is absolutely nothing that is beyond His ability to do. To remind us that He is with us always, even when we don’t feel Him. And to share that Hope with others so they can get to know the Creator of the Universe. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!
In the Beginning -Genesis 1:1 is a great place to start. While it can be so easy to get overwhelmed with situations going on in our lives, this verse reminds us that He truly is the Creator of all things. Some will try to say that we came from primates over millennia, yet the reality is there is absolutely no proof of us coming to where we are through evolution. What does science show us? It shows us, that in a very short period of time, life went from single celled organisms to complex organisms. There are no archeological finds of any creatures that show an ‘in-between’ period. NONE.
If God so precisely and carefully and lovingly and amazingly constructed a mind-boggling habitat for his creatures, then it would be natural for Him to want them to explore it, to measure it, to investigate it, to appreciate it, to be inspired by it – and ultimately, and most importantly, to find Him through it.
Lee Strobel -The Case for a Creator
Over and over science has shown that there is a creator. The complexity of, not just our bodies, but of the of our world and universe is so detailed that the slightest change in any area would negate the ability for life to be able to survive.
But God!
Instead of coming into being through the “Big Bang,” you and I have been created by the God of the Universe for a purpose. He knows every hair on our head (Luke 12:7) and every worry in our hearts (Psalm 139). I can’t express how deeply grateful I am for this knowledge. On the days that I can’t see a way out of a difficult situation I am reminded, through His Word, that He;
Is Right Beside Me
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
~Proverbs 18:24~
Has Plans for Me
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
~Jeremiah 29:11~
Will Guide My Steps
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
~Psalm 32:8~
Hang onto Him friends. And lean into Him in EVERY situation in your life. Good, bad and ugly. He knows what’s going on, what’s going to happen and will be there with you through it all!
