Christianity, faith, Forgiveness & Healing, He had me at hello, I am yours, Needing Help, Psalm 28:7, Relying on God, You are mine

I Am Yours

My darling, I am yours, and you are mine,’ Song of Solomon 2:16a

Can you imagine it? God saying this? Not just in scripture, to some prophet that lived four thousand years ago. And not just the ‘Iam yours, and you are mine’, although He has me there. (Kind of like ‘He had me at hello’, 😂)

But ‘My Darling’.

I can picture Him, gently placing His hand upon our face as we are going through a struggle. Asking us to look at HIM and not our situation. Looking at us with nothing but love in His eyes.

‘My darling, haven’t I told you that I would never leave you? That I would never foresake you?’, he says to us. And He says it all the time.

I’m curious if He ever gets frustrated with us. He continues to be faithful to us yet we continue to doubt Him.

I’d love, and HOPE to get there one day, to be able to fully live what Psalm 28:7 says; “The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”

I really, really want that! To truly trust in Him. Not only that He can do what He says He’ll do but that He WILL. I want to not doubt that He will help me, that He will never leave me. I want to have that confidence in my heart so I be filled with JOY.

With Him and through Him we can have that confidence and that joy. I don’t know about you that’s one my biggest issues. I continually try to live life without Him, well…until I need something that is. Instead of seeing and accepting that I need him. That I need Him…Every. Single. Day.

How about you? Have you been able to find yourself leaning into Him on a daily basis or ‘as needed?’

Let’s start to really lean into Him, to be in His Word, in prayer and meditation daily. It’s time we find our strength in Him.

You up for it?

I’d love for you to share what Scriptures that bring you strength and HOPE.

In Jesus’ precious name.
