Holy Week

“So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Acts 2:36

Starting today we celebrate the week prior to Jesus’ crucificition. An act that had to happen. For too long people try to blame others for what He had to go through. Want to find someone to blame? Look in the mirror…just as I and everyone else needs to do. It is our shortcomings, our failures, mistakes and sins on why He had to die on the cross and be resurrected three days later. HE was the last blood sacrifice that was needed. HE is the Passover lamb.

I don’t know about you but I don’t feel even remotely worthy of what He’s done. I may not be where I used to be but I’m still a sinner through and through. It is by His grace that we are saved. It is His grace that enables us to fight against our sins and the enemy of this world. “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

I’ve learned so much over the last few years that I really do feel happier in my life when I’m serving others. Well, I’m a bit of a slow learner… Jesus Himself says in Matthew 20:28 that He did not come to be serve but to serve. Friends, He has called us to do the same. He calls us in Mark 10 to serve one another. “And whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

And aren’t we blessed that He did?!

I will do my best to serve you this week my friends with some insight in Jesus’ last week among us.

God bless.

Tara
