Yahweh Nissi~The Lord is My Banner

Over the past year I have become much more interested in the different names used to describe God…El Shaddai-Lord God Almighty, El Olam-The Everlasting God, Jehovah Jireh-The Lord will provide…so many names showing the many, many facets of our God.

I’ve been holding onto His name ‘Yahweh Nissi’ for a while now. THE LORD IS MY BANNER. I hold onto that knowing that He goes ahead of me. He knows what is coming next. And I know that He has plans of good for me, not bad. He has a future full of HOPE for me-and you.

I look at the scriptures and I see how those that went ahead of us put their faith and TRUST in Him. Abraham-the first to call God by this name-grew up without his faith in God. There was no Judaism, let alone Christianity, during Abraham’s time. There was God. And I look back at Joshua (chapter 3) we can see God going ahead of them-utilizing the ark of the covenant. Leading His people to their promised land.

God knows all. He knows the end from the beginning of every situation. Your’s, mine. Regardless of our faith, or lack there of, in Him.

I pray, that you and I, will place our full faith in the Lord of Lords, in I AM, our Yahweh Nissi. May He pour out His blessings upon you.

God bless and have a wonderful day.

“And Moses built and altar and called the name of it, the Lord is my Banner.” Exodus 17:5

In Jesus precious name.

  1. Thanks Tara! He is an awesome God. We ARE Blessed that God does reveal Himself to us, it is up to us to call upon Him and He will show us great and mighty things in which we do not know. Amen! I’m calling out ………..
