I needed to know in the deepest recesses of my heart that He is there. That He knows my heart is hurting and is fearful...and that He cares.
You see, it reminded me that it is all too easy to sit in our pain. To wallow in our grief, our anger, our confusion on why what happened, happened.
One memory comes to mind all the time...one that seems to demonstrate how inadequate I feel as a mom.
We both had and in some areas, still do have baggage. Things that hurt us and we need to work on. It’s one of the many reasons I am so grateful that God loves us enough not to keep us where we are.
Part of the struggle is that we view our lives and our hurts through human eyes. When we do this, especially for those that have deep hurts, we can find ourselves in a perpetual cycle of doubt and depression.
